Making money online used to pretty much require you to have your own Web site, products to sell and some marketing savvy. But a new generation of dot-coms have arisen that will pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a web designer or a marketing genius.
But it's hard to tell hype from the real deal. I did a search on "make money online" and "making money online", and much of the information out there is just promoting various infoproducts, mostly about Internet marketing. I see why people sometimes ask, "Is anyone making money online besides Internet marketing experts?"
So I put together a list of business opportunities with legitimate companies that:
#Pay cash, not just points towards rewards or a chance to win money
#Don't require you to have your own Web domain or your own products
#Don't involve any hard-selling
#Aren't just promoting more Internet marketing
Give a good return on your time investmentIn the interest of objectivity, none of the links below are affiliate links, and none of them have paid or provided any other consideration for their presence here. These are legitimate companies with business models that allow you to get paid for a wide range of activities.

Help friends find better jobs.
Sites like ReferEarns, Zyoin, Who Do You Know For Dough?, Bohire and WiseStepp connect employers with prospective employees, many of whom are already employed and not actively job-hunting, via networking - the people who know these qualified candidates. Rewards for referring a candidate who gets hired range from $50 on up to several thousand dollars - not chump change. If you know a lot of job-seekers (and who doesn't these days?), this is a great way to break into the recruiting business with no overhead.
Connect suppliers with buyers.
Referral fees are a common practice in business, but they haven't been used much in online networking sites because there was no way to track them. Sites like Salesconx, InnerSell and uRefer now provide that. Vendors set the referral fees they're willing to pay (and for what), and when the transaction happens, you get paid. uRefer also allows merchants to set up referral programs for introductions and meetings, as well as transactions.

Start your own blog.
You don't have to have your own Web site, or install blogging software, or even figure out how to set up the advertising. At Blogger you can set up a blog for free in less than five minutes without knowing a thing about web design, and Blogger even automates setting up Google AdSense so you can make money off your blog by displaying ads and getting paid when people click on the ads. To make even more money from it, set up an affiliate program (see below) for books, music, etc., and insert your affiliate links whenever you refer to those items. You'll have to get a lot of traffic to become a six-figure blogger, but pick an interesting topic, write well, tell all your friends, and you're off to a good start.
Related: Ways of Making Money through Blog

Create topical resource hubs.
Are you an expert on a particular niche topic? Can you put together an overview of the topic and assemble some of the best resources on the topic from around the web? Then you can create topical hubs and get paid through sites like Squidoo, HugPages and Google Knol. Payments are based on a combination of ad revenue and affiliate fees. You'll get higher rates doing it on your own, but these sites have a built-in supply of traffic and tools to make content creation easier.
Advertise other people's products.
If you already have a Web site or a blog, look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands - they're easier to sell. To promote those products:
Place simple text or graphical ads in appropriate places on your site
Include links to purchase products you review or recommend in a blog, discussion forum or mailing list you control
Create a dedicated sales page or Web site to promote a particular productThey all work - it just depends on how much time you have to spend on it and your level of expertise with Web design and marketing.

Microstock photography.
You don't have to be a professional photographer to sell your photos for money. People are constantly in need of stock photography for websites, presentations, brochures and so on, and are willing to pay for the right image. People generally search for images on stock photography sites by keywords, not by photographer, so you have the same chance as anyone else of having your image picked. Just be careful that you don't have images of trademarked brands, copyrighted art or people's faces that are readily identifiable (unless you have a model release), but just about anything else is fair game, and I promise - you'd be amazed what people need pictures of, so don't make any assumptions. If it's a decent photo, upload it. Some sites to get you started include Fotolia, ShutterStock, Dreamstime and iStockphoto. The great thing about this is that it's truly "set it and forget it".
The above list is by no means comprehensive, but it highlights some of the new and interesting ways to make money online without investing any money, without having a product of your own, and without having expert sales and marketing skills. Most of all, unlike taking surveys or getting paid to read e-mail, the potential return on your time investment is substantial.

There are many movies are going on the theater next week, but here I recommend several that I think are great and worth watched. However, since there are a little bit more, I separate them into part 1 and part 2. And all of them are with plot descriptions and trailers! Enjoy! In the first part, there are: 1. Adam 2. The Cove

1. Adam
Plot: In movies, when two twentysomethings serendipitously wind up under the same Manhattan roof, witty repartee usually transpires, then sparks fly, and eventually they fall into bed. But the boy and the girl in Adam are no ordinary characters, and their romance is anything but familiar. Soon after moving in, Beth, a brainy, beautiful writer, encounters Adam, the handsome, but old, fellow in the downstairs apartment. A pleasant chemistry flows, but his awkwardness is perplexing. Whether avoiding eye contact or standing by blithely while Beth drags a heavy load up steep stairs, Adam seem utterly oblivious to social convention. Then one night, Adam regales Beth with an elaborate outer-space light show. It's a magical moment, tainted slightly by his obsessively thorough astronomical explanation. Their connection is palpable. It becomes clear that Adam's inability to decipher nonverbal signals is beyond his control. And yet Beth doesn't balk. Their mutual interest tentatively takes root. What makes this rare story about obstacles...

Cast: Hugh Dancy, Rose Byrne, Peter Gallagher, Amy Irving, Frankie Faison, Mark Linn-Baker

Running Time: 1 hr. 39 min.

Genre: Romance, Drama, Comedy

Release Date: 07-29-2009

Movie Trailer:

2. The Cove
Plot:In the 1960's, Richard O'Barry was the worlds leading authority on dolphin training, working on the set of the popular television program Flipper. Day in and day out, O'Barry kept the dolphins working and television audiences smiling. But one day, that all came to a tragic end. THE COVE, directed by Louie Psihoyos, tells the amazing true story of how Psihoyos, O'Barry and an elite team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers embarked on a covert mission to penetrate a hidden cove in Japan, shinning light on a dark and deadly secret. The mysteries they uncovered were only the tip of the iceberg.
A brutally honest and effortlessly fascinating film about one specific cove in Taiji, Japan, in which approximately 23,000 dolphins are killed every year.

What Does "Rich" Mean to You?

Posted by Nate | 9:49 PM | | 0 comments »

Today, I read an article named "what does rich mean to you." Well, I didn't actually read the whole article, but I was curious about the topic. Yeah~~what does rich means to you?

Some people would probably say, "of course Money!" It cant be denied that the most normal meaning of rich is money. If you have a lot money, you're rich, literately. You can buy whatever you like. However, I say, "NO!" Money does not equal to rich. Money is only the measure of buying power, not rich.

First of all, all people like to be rich. Why? Because it makes them alive, happy, and most importantly, satisfied. That why I say rich means satisfaction.

Poor people can be rich. Those people never think of themselves as poor, because they satisfied what they have got; they satisfied what they have been through; and they satisfied their own lives!

"Rich" people probably are not rich. It's true that they have a huge amount of money, but some of them hardly are happy in every single day in their lives. Well, it might be a little bit exaggerated. But it is close. These people spend limited money to satisfied their unlimited desire. There is never an end of that. Ultimately, all they left are just emptiness of their soul.

That's also why Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, the two richest guys in the world, donate most of their money to help society. They are not addicted to making money because they know money is not the reflecting rich. Only when they are satisfied by helping society, can they feel they are really rich.

Well, I do not say that satisfaction can only come from helping others. It can be various things. It can be from the happiness that you hang out with your friends; it can be the success that you make in your career; it can also from the feeling that you have a sweet family. All kind of things can satisfied you. However, my point is that there are many people considering money so seriously that they believe only money can satisfied them. That's not true. You should remember, money is only the measure of buying power. You can be rich in any way. If you sacrifice all your life only in making money, you will miss a lot precious things that could have made you happy and satisfied you. Those things can't be measured by money. Those things can truly make you rich!

That's all, and this is only my thoughts that I want to share with you. You don't have to agree with me, but I sincerely hope you can leave your idea!

Finally Game & My Roommate David!

Posted by Nate | 5:00 PM | | 0 comments »

Yesterday, we had a final basketball game. It was final because my roommate, David, is leaving this August 7th. He is going to back to China, and we have few chance to play basketball then. Thus, most of the Chinese guys here went to basketball gym in order to have one last game with him.
We divided the team by grade one and grade two. I was in grade one team and David was in the other team. The whole process was difficult to describe. Let's just skip to the result. we've played four games, but my team lost all four games. Yeah, that was kinda embarrassing, but we all had fun. Besides, we were not the star in that game, David was! So, as long as he was satisfied, then we were all satisfied. After that game, we took some pictures and then went to the movie together!
Now comes the important part, David. I want to talk about my roommate before he leaves.
David, whose Chinese name is Jianbo Su, is a great guy. He is smart, thoughtful, and gets sense of humor sometimes. We've been living in one department for one year, not long, but we've got a lot of things that are worth remembered.

David (right) & Nate (left)
I remember the first day I came to this college, my other roommate said, "Nate, you could be a great friend with David since you two have a lot in common!" Yeah, he was right. I have a lot in common with David. We all like tidy room; we have same favorite sport--basketball; we all like hot girls(though we didn't have chance to watch porn movies and go to night clubs together, and I think we will in the future, yeah!~~); we also like cooking, or we both can cook. This is rare that two guys in one room can cook and cook well in my college! Actually, he is much better than me. Anyway, we seldom worried about what to eat since we both can cook. However, the most important thing is that we respect and take care of each other: we won't bother each other when one of us is sleeping or studying; we share interesting stuffs with each other as long as we find some.
But the truth is, I cant talk much here because there are too much to talk about. In addition, once you use words to describe your memories, you will probably be disappointed because no matter what words you use, they are worse than how you really want to say and feel. Hence, I'd better keep these precious memories in my mind.
All you need you know is: David is a really good friend of mine. Even though we gonna in different countries, we will keep in touch in the future! I believe!
On last thing: David! Take Care! YOU ARE THE MAN!

Last night, I was walking home. Then I saw a guy peeing in the middle of the street! I was shocked! What the hell wrong with the guy??? Then I realized, that was my friend Jered. I shouted to him, "HEY! JERED! WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?? ARE YOU DRUNK???!!" "Yeah!!Nate..I'm Fucking Drunk! Hahaha" Jered replied me instantly without any shame.
Anyway, he came to me, and we started chatting. Most of things we talk about were difference between two countries--China and America. In the middle of chat, Jered became serious and asked, "hey, hey, Nate, I want to ask you a question." "What??" I became serious too. He thought for a while, then said, "Do all the Chinese girls like to walk together? Causez I find the Chinese girls here always walk together." "Man! if this was what he want to ask..why he was so serious??" I was thinking.. but I answered it anyway, "well, not all the girls like to walk together. but yes, most of them like. Actually, not only girls in China like to walk together, but also most of guys do as well. We call this buddy system. In China, I almost do everything with my best friends together. We eat together, play basketball together, play tricks on other together, almost anything.""Oh..."Jered nodded. "In fact," I continued, "I found American people are so independent that few of them have their buddy, is that true?" "yes, we most of time do our stuffs alone. We are fucking independent!" Jered answered, proudly...we also talked a lot other thing, but this one impressed me. Because not until then, I realized, I am becoming more and more independent since I came to America. In China, I can't stand the feeling of lonely. I always has somebody around me, either my friends or my family. But here, I almost do everything single thing alone. I admit that independence is a kind of good quality for life, but I consider it sad as well. Because it seems I'm losing passions to stay with people..
Next week, I'm going back to China for a couple weeks, I hope I will be still excited and full of passions when I see my friends again..
Anyway, after the chat, we also went to a party and I've learned a lot: Jered introduced a lot his friends to me even though I can't remember most of their names (it's kind of hard for me to remember American name); He also gave me a lesson about smoke and drugs. Fortunately, I never smoke, let along drugs. But I still learned it because at least I can recognize it when I see this stuffs.
All right~ this is a experience of mine, share to you! Hope you like it.

It's really a pity that I miss the eclipse that happnen yesterday in Asia. Actually, the most perfect place to see this rare phenomenent is India, China, and Japen. It is said that this was the greatest astronomy pheonomenent that ever happened in 21 century. It is also said this time has the most withnesses ever. Of course it is! India, China and Japan have the largest population in the world. Why it wouldn't be??Fortunately I still can see it from the video. Now I want to share with you guys! And the whole process lasted about 6 minutes~~

It would definitly be a great expirience if I could see it in person. I remember the last time I saw a eclipse was a half solar eclipse, not total. And at that time I was about 13 years old. The funny thing is, since we didn't have black glasses, we all use black plastic bag to cover over our heads. Imagining that: hundreds of kids watch the eclipse with plastic bag over their heads!~Hehe...It was fun and Interesting. Anyway, I just want to share this special moment with you guys~~

We Had Hot Pot Today!!

Posted by Nate | 10:51 PM | | 0 comments »

We had hot pot for dinner today!!Since I have been studying so hard, and just finished a test today, my roommate and I decided to relax by having a great meal--Hot Pot! I don't know whether you guys have heard it or not. Don't worry, here I will first introduce it to you first:

Hot pot, or less commonly Chinese fondue, refers to several Chinese varieties of steamboat stew. It consists of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce. In many areas, hot pot meals are often eaten in the winter.

Actually, Hot pot can be very different kind in different areas of China. But as you know, it is really hard to have hot pot meal in America (at least for us who are living in a god damn remote area). So it becomes a precious and excited things when we can have hot pot. Anyway, let's see what we had today:

We have different types of vegetables, some can get from Walmart, some can only get from Asian market. We've got meat balls, actually, they're beef balls, which is my favorite. We also have tofu, shrimp, kelp (I'm not sure whether it is called kelp, the white stuff on the right, and it is a kind of seafood); in the pot on the right, we have mushroom, and dried been curd. That all ingredients we've got today. Even though the seems not much compared to what we have in China, we are still satisfied. The pot in the middle is the Hot Pot, where we put all we want to eat inside. Before we start, we prepare a delicious but spicy soup in the hot pot, which is used to cook the ingredients we're gonna put in.

Of course, we will share such a great meal with our friends. We called five of our friends, here they are:

Yeah, we look happy and satisfied. To be honest, it was kind of embarrassed that we ate like wolves during the meal. However, we thought it was fun when we tried to grab as much food to our bowl as possible. We were not really that hungry, we just did this for fun.

Ok~~ this is my life today. If you are interested in this hot pot, feel free to leave comments and I will tell you how to prepare it! It is really delicious!

Movie "The Hangover"

Posted by Nate | 2:54 PM | | 0 comments »

Last weekend, my friend and I went to see a movie. At first, we did not mean to see the "The Handover", but there were few choices the time we went. So we saw it. Honestly, I did not expect this movies was so funny. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know this movie has been one over on month, and it was a little bit outdated, but I think it is worthy to introduce to people who have not seen the movie.

The movie is about: two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they'll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can't find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the , the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.

Now, you can watch the trailer first:

To me, I really like the part that they were caught by the corps since they stole a police car last night. In order to be released as soon as possible, they volunteered to demonstrate the thun-gun as use to subdue a suspect in a teens course. You should look at the police's face, he was pretty enjoyable and laughing when they saw these guys were shot and getting pain: "In Your Face! In Your Face!!HAHAHA .."

The other part I like even though it was a little ridiculous is they had a deal with a Chinese guys who claimed he had Doug. What was funny is the way the Chinese guy speak. He always said: "...motherfucker..." in a really really gay~ way. It was funny. However, I am really in doubt that what on earth that America think the stereotypes of Asian people. According to the movies I saw so far, they are either nerd or gay, or even stupid. What the...Of course Asian guys are not like that. They are not even close! They could be strong and cool, like this , they also could be man!. So I hope American people can correct the image of Asian people in their minds.
Anyway, this is a great movie!!Hope you enjoy it~

There are a lot people out there want add musci player in their blogs, well, this is easy to accomplished. What the problem is, when you click links, the music will be interrupted and start over..I don't if you guys have perfect solusions to this, but I have one..you can see it in my blog..well, it's not so regular and perfect, it's a tricky..but it works anyway..let's me share with you step by step:

1. You need to add music player to your blog. However, blogger itself doesn't have player, but there are a lot third parties that provide music player codes. And I have tries many of them, which I found playlist.com/ is the most convinient one. All you have to do is creat an account; then go to my playlist to create a new playlist; and then you can start add music to you playlist just by searching music.

2. To get the code of your playlist, just go to my account, and then ckick get playlist code under you music player.

3. After you get you code, the easiest ways to add music player to your blog is adding a widget, and put the code into it. Of course, you can change the properties of your player according to style of the blog, and add title to it. Now you have music in your blog.

4. Here comes the important step, how to let reader click other links while do not influence the music. Basically, there are two steps:
a. Set all the links to be opened in new windows. To do this, go to Layout, and then Edit HTML, add following code between head and /head:

(I recommend you add it right above .)
b. after that, stiil in the Edit HTML, but now you have to check Expand Wedget Templates. Then you can use Ctrl+F, to find the music player widget, which will porbably like this:

Then add following code between this two lines:

which will be like:

Now, You've done! Your reader now can read you blog while he or she can listen to the music without interrupting when click other links!
Hope you enjoy!!!!

Who's Nate??

Posted by Nate | 9:09 AM | | 0 comments »

Who the hell is Nate? Well... basically, he is the author of this blog through which he wants to share everything that is interesting or worth to pay attention to in his daily life.
Hey! What's Nate like? What personalities he has? To be honest, I can't tell you the answer, causez I don't usually judge people. But let's see the following dialogue first. It's between an interviewer of a part time job in library and he....
Begin...
Interviewer: Since this is the first time we meet, please briefly introduce yourself.
Nate(a little bit nervous, but he is trying his best to hide the emotion):Er...well, My name is Nate...er, I'm Chinese who come to America as an exchange student..I am junior now..(getting more and more nervous..brain blanking!)..er..(can't think anything else)..er..what..what else do you want to know??
Interviewer(disappointed, but out of polite): How long have you been in America? How do you like here? And how is your study here??
Nate:I have been here for about one year. I pretty like here. It's free here, yeah, a lot of freedom.(getting excited)my study?hehe..so far my GPA is 3.996!!
Interviewer(thinking: nerd..): Great..so you like study, huh...and what's...
Nate: like study? No!! I don't like study..I think study is..is..(can't think a word to describe)..is..boring..I study just because I have to!
Interviewer (shocked by his loud "no!!"): well..so what do you usually like to do?
Nate(seems to get used to the situation now): I like basketball, like surfing Internet..like..making friends, meet different people...I like...blah..blah..blah.
Interviewer(losing patience): great..it's nice to talk to you..I will let you know if you are accepted.
End...
So what do you think? Is he a nerd? Not really..But obviously, he is a shy boy..only when he is under unfamiliar situation. Is he nice? Still can't tell. So what's the point of the dialogue?
OK, telling the truth..I'm Nate..actually, I make up the dialogue up there...but it's not totally fake..I am telling you guys the basic information about me..yeah..I ain't nerd..I like playing, hanging out with friends..I like drinking(not alcoholic)..I like party..but sometime I prefer quiet, peace moments..I like helping people...so I'm nice? I can's say so..sometimes I'm mean too..
Anyway, the point I'm getting at is that you can't judge a people just through one or few aspects of them..you can't know me well just through this single post..you like your best friend, because you guys know each other well through the time you guys spend together; because you guys have common interests..want to share everything. Therefore...if you want to know me..to see what person I am and whether you have common interests with me and then make friends, you can keep reading my blog...
Besides, my blog is not just sharing my life..it also provide wide information to help people..like I will share movies, articles, videos I like or I hate..also I will try my best to help people like I will share blog techniques(though I am not professional), study skills, and so on..
At last..hope you like my blog~~!!
